Groundbreakers Summit FAQs

General Questions

Who attends Groundbreakers?

Groundbreakers is for women with 7+ years of work experience.

Is the audience finance-only professionals?

The core of the audience work within the finance industry – however professionals from all industries are welcome. Groundbreakers attendees also include women from other industries, including media & entertainment, consulting, consumer goods, foundations & endowments and more.

Is there a virtual component to this year's summit?

This year's summit will be held entirely in person.

Can (do!) men attend Groundbreakers?

We’ve had a few men attend in the past (their firms/employers were sponsors); we also welcomed men to the program as speakers. The content is focused on women and leadership advancement, so the audience profile attracts women.

I’m traveling to the event. Is there a preferred hotel?

The Foundation has not reserved a room block for this event.

I love the line-up and am interested in having one of the speakers present at our company—is that possible?

Reach out to Toigo and we can provide an introduction to the speaker and/or the individual’s agent.

Individual Attendee Questions

Are individual Groundbreakers tickets available – or are they all issued to firms as part of sponsorships?

Both – individuals can purchase a ticket to attend. Tickets are also part of sponsor benefits, with different levels of sponsorship providing various ticket options.

I purchased a ticket but am no longer able to attend the event —what should I do?

Purchases are non-refundable, but if for any reason you are unable to attend after making your purchase, we are happy to convert your purchase into a 100% tax deductible contribution.

I serve on a pension board, but am not employed by a public pension plan – do I still qualify for the plan sponsor ticket price?

If you are affiliated with a pension fund, endowment or foundation, you are invited to attend at the pension rate. Please reach out to Toigo and we will provide you with a code that you can enter during registration to receive the discounted rate.
