The word “perfect” has an overwhelmingly positive connotation, but it’s also a largely unattainable goal. As Winston Churchill said, "Perfection is the enemy of progress," and it's still true today. Morra Aarons-Mele will share proven skills based on behavioral science to help reset our expectations, navigate perfectionism, and get in touch with what we really want.

Anxiety happens when expectations are out of balance, ungrounded. Sometimes our expectations need to be rebalanced, just like our retirement portfolios. Sometimes we need to say goodbye to long-held expectations others put on us- from our parents to our coaches to our mentors and bosses. In this session, we will:

Learn how early expectations can take root and drive our goals- and also our anxiety
Examine the roots of perfectionism and comparison to others
